You'll get to feel the excitement of flying a gyrocopter on this 60 minute lesson - but without that buffeting, wind-in-your-hair feeling! That's because this unique model, known as the Cavalon, is a closed cockpit autogyro, and on this session at a CAA approved PPL training school at Rochester Airport near Chatham in Kent, you'll sit side-by-side in the wide cockpit with the qualified instructor, where you can get a better view of how they're handling this dual-controlled gyro before taking the controls yourself to fly it, all whilst taking flight over the Thames Estuary and Leeds Castle areas of the county.

    Silver Flight - 60 Minutes

    • Fly along the Thames Estuary, Gravesend, Maidstone and Leeds Castle
    • Weekends and weekdays throughout the year
    • Flights are subject to availability and weather conditions
    • You need to be agile enough to get in and out of the gyrocopter
    • No previous flying experience is required
    • Please seek medical advice if you have previously suffered a heart condition or other medical complaint such as back or neck problems
    • This experience is not suitable for pregnant mothers
    • All participants must complete an information sheet and waiver prior to flying
    • Spectators are welcome to watch your gyrocopter flight
    • There is a clubhouse which is usually open to visitors, along with a café at weekends

Great experience in the Gyro Kai was a great instructor, took me a round to a few local landmarks and really showed off what the Gyro is capable of. The whole experience was good fun and hopefully will get a chance to do it again sometime.
