About the Experience

Kayak Experience Days: Enjoy a fantastic one-and-a-half-hour kayaking taster session and get to grips with this fast-growing watersport under the guidance of a qualified instructor. Paddle along the beautiful Beaulieu River and discover its peaceful stretches and intriguing little creeks as you explore in a stable, single-cockpit touring kayak.

After a warm welcome at the centre, your experience begins with a safety briefing and an introduction to the equipment. Then it’s time to hit the water for a relaxed paddle with your instructor, who will help you build essential kayaking skills while you take part in fun on-water games designed to boost confidence and ability.

If you are after a friendly, laid-back environment to learn the basics of kayaking, this experience is a brilliant choice. It also makes a wonderful gift for anyone who loves trying new activities and is always keen for a little outdoor adventure.

  • The minimum age for this experience is 8.

    (Under 18's must be accompanied by a participating parent / guardian.)

    Children under 10 will be required to take part on a double kayak with a participating adult. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

    All Participants must be confident in the water.

  • All equipment, including wetsuit and buoyancy aid, is provided by the centre, all you need to bring is a towel, some swimwear and clothes that you don't mind getting wet and dirty. It is recommended to secure glasses with elastic if you wish to wear them during the experience.

  • The Kayaking Taster is available on selected dates from March to October. Weekend availability is more frequent, but it operates on some weekdays.
