Your journey continues across the fens to Ely, where the 12th-century Ely Cathedral towers majestically above the flat landscape, before heading to Newmarket to spot the famous racecourse from above. I was given this treat as a present for my 65th birthday. My wife was included and was a bit wary of the trip. We both loved it, the view was stunning, the staff friendly and efficient, the plane was amazing It rattled and bounced about a tiny bit, just what flying should be like Very noisy which I wasnt expecting and smaller cabin than I anticipated but I loved it. If I win the lotto I might try to buy one for myself The treat included entry to the museum which I found fascinating. Al in. All a GREAT EXPERIENCE,

    Cambridge, Ely and Newmarket Tour

    • Approximately 45-minute flight duration
    • The Dragon Rapide flies north at 1500 feet, giving you the finest possible views over the local countryside
    • In addition to the sights of the Cambridge tour, you will also fly on to the mighty Romanesque Cathedral at Ely and the famous racetrack at Newmarket
    • The flights are in the minutes shown chock to chock (aircraft brakes off to brakes on)
    • Spectators are welcome to come and watch take off and landing; however, it is necessary to enter IWM Duxford to watch the flight
    • Entry to IWM Duxford is compulsory for participants and accompanying guests. Guests will enjoy half-price entry to the site, and children under 5 go free
    • There is a restaurant and Cafe on site, providing food and refreshments
    • The maximum weight limit is strictly 18 stone (115kg)
    • This activity is suitable for all ages
    • Passengers will need to be able to climb a couple of steps to get into the vintage aircraft
    • Flat shoes and comfortable clothing are recommended
    • Flights take place on weekends and most Wednesdays from March to October
    • All flights are weather-dependent and therefore subject to suitable flying conditions
    • If a flight has to be cancelled, it will be rebooked for an alternative date, which must be within 12 months of the cancellation date.
