About the experience

Product ID: 17076

This is one wine tasting session quite unlike any other you'll have come across - particularly if you're based up in Scotland! The Cairn O'Mohr Winery is set on a restored 18th century homestead deep in the heart of the Perthshire countryside, and this unique family run business under the hands of Ron and Judith Gilles, established in 1987, utilises the very best of the local agriculture around them to produce some truly one of a kind wines. And that's because they use locally grown fruit, berries, flowers - even leaves - to produce some vibrant and colourful wines, as well as ciders and juice. Your experience will commence with a tour of the winery, as you learn more about the maturation process, and how this creates what they call "vinosity" (don't worry, your guide will explain what this means). You'll also get an insight into the fermentation and bottling process, plus what is surely the highlight of the tour, with a chance to taste some of the wines produced as well.
