Details for the Blenheim Palace and Afternoon Tea for Two

Product ID: 14573

You and a loved one, friend or family member can book to discover one of England's grandest and most famous stately homes of all - Blenheim Palace - as well as enjoying a magnificent afternoon tea together. Located on the border where Oxfordshire meets the Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace has been the home for numerous generations of the Duke of Marlborough, and is also, of course, woven into the very history of our country, as it was the birthplace and ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill. Over the best part of two hours, you'll get to explore the majestic house and its many State Rooms, parklands including the River Glyme and the Queens Pool and gardens, including the masterful ornate gardens designed by Capability Brown that were worked consistently on for 11 years. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteer tour guides will be on hand throughout the tour to chat and offer interesting anecdotes and facts about the many tapestries, artefacts and paintings on display. There are also audio download versions of the tour available. Also included in the price of your entrance tickets are the Churchill Exhibition and Stables Exhibition, encompassing over 300 years of Blenheim's history and the Marlborough dynasty. You can also take in many of the signposted walking trails, some of which also explore locations used in filming of TV shows and films such as Harry Potter and Bridgerton. With the tour concluded, you'll head off to the luxe Grade I listed Orangery. Faithfully restored and maintained, it's the perfect place to unwind with a sumptuous afternoon tea with delicate sandwiches, sweet treats and fresh homemade scones.
