Bird Of Prey Experience Days: Discover the fascinating world of birds of prey with a taster experience at Millets Farm Falconry Centre in Oxfordshire. Perfect for beginners or wildlife enthusiasts, these one-hour sessions offer a hands-on introduction to the skill, patience, and care involved in falconry, while giving you an up-close look at these powerful flying predators.

You can choose from four exciting experiences when booking. The Owl Encounter lets you handle and fly a variety of beautiful nocturnal owls. The Best of British experience focuses on the UK’s native raptors, teaching you about the birds you might spot in the wild. Scavengers of the Sky explores the fascinating lives of vultures, ravens, kites, and Cara Caras, while the Falconry Introduction gives a broad insight into the world of falconers—with full-day admission to the centre included!

This hour-long experience makes a perfect gift for anyone who loves wildlife, birds, or the thrill of meeting these incredible raptors up close. It’s a unique, unforgettable chance to connect with nature and witness the beauty and power of these majestic birds.

  • Minimum age: 8 years

    (Under 16's must be accompanied by a paying adult).

  • Please dress appropriately for the weather - some of your experience will take place outside.

  • The 1 Hour Bird of Prey Experiences are available all year round, Tuesdays - Sundays.

    You will simply need to inform the centre which experience you are interested in, upon booking - please see the anything else section

    Participants: The Bird of Prey Taster Experience for Two is for 2 participants.

    Max Group Size: 3

    Spectators Allowed on Site: Yes

    This Bird of Prey Taster Experience can cater for up to three participants. Spectators are welcome to come along and join the participant at the centre, but will need to pay the general admission fee of £7.00 (for adults, concessions are less) - this is payable upon entry.

  • Experience Duration: 1:00

    Time Spent at Venue: 1:00

    Each of these experiences will last for 1 hour,but participants will have access to the centre for the entire day.

    • Minimum Age: 8 years
    • Maximum Age: 99 years
    • This product is not eligible for promotional discount codes.

  • This falconry taster session runs throughout the year and is not usually affected but the weather.

    If your experience is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the centre will reschedule your experience.
