Arts and Crafts Experience Days: Discover the art of jewellery making in Cambridgeshire as you craft your own unique two-piece sterling silver stacking ring set from scratch.

This three-hour beginners’ class is perfect for anyone with a love of creativity and makes a thoughtful gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or even engagements. Guided by professional jeweller Sarah in her welcoming studio, you’ll learn step by step how to transform raw silver into two beautifully finished rings.

You’ll start with the basics of sizing and cutting using specialist tools like a jeweller’s saw, before moving on to techniques such as filing, annealing, soldering, and shaping with a mandrel and mallet. Once your rings have taken form, you’ll polish them to perfection, ready to wear or gift to someone special.

With tea, coffee, and biscuits provided, this relaxed and rewarding experience is an inspiring way to develop new skills and create jewellery that’s truly personal.

  • Minimum Age: 15.

    Those under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

  • Please be sure to tie your hair back; no scarves or open-toed shoes.

    A complete health and safety guideline will be sent out after your booking has been made.

    Goggles and face masks will be provided on the day.

  • Sessions run from Monday to Saturday, year-round and between 10am to 5pm.

    In the months of April to September, an evening session from 6pm to 9pm will also run.
