About the Experience

Spend a full day discovering the craft of beer making at the Staffordshire Brewhouse in Lichfield, perfect for anyone who's ever wondered how that perfect pint comes to life. You'll be greeted with a warm welcome and a cuppa before meeting the resident brewing expert who'll guide you through each stage of the process, from mashing in to sparging. Throughout the day, you'll learn the secrets behind turning water, barley, hops and yeast into something truly delicious, with plenty of opportunities to taste the brewery's fine selection of local and international craft ales as you go. A morning bacon butty and a hearty lunch from the restaurant menu are included, so you'll be well fed while you brew. Once the day's creation is safely in the fermenter, you can relax with another pint or two before heading home with a five-litre mini keg of your very own beer and a certificate to mark the occasion. It's a brilliant, hands-on experience for anyone who loves a proper pint and wants to get behind the scenes of how it's made.

  • The minimum age for this experience is 18 years old.

  • You can wear whatever you like for the Lichfield Brewery Experience.

  • Each Beer Brewing Experience is run in small groups with the maximum number of 10.

    Please note, this experience is not suitable for spectators, although they may wish to enjoy the pub facilities upon pick-up or drop off.

  • The Brewery experience lasts for approximately 7 hours with a 11am start time.

    There will be a mid-morning snack break, and then a lunch break at approximately 13:30.

    This experience is usually run twice a week on Fridays and Saturdays (subject to availability). Availability will vary according to chosen venue.

    • Minimum Age: 18 years

  • This experience takes place indoors, therefore will not be affected by the weather.

  • You'll be able to take home your brew once it's ready. However, please note that it may take a few weeks for fermentation to complete.
