You’ll start the morning with a cuppa before diving into the first stages of the process, guided by an expert brewer. There’ll be plenty of chances to sample different beers along the way, with a tasty lunch to keep you fuelled. By the end of the day, you’ll have a solid understanding of how beer is made, plus a certificate and your own mini-keg of freshly brewed beer to take home. About the Experience

Treat yourself to a full day of brewing bliss at one of Brewhouse and Kitchen’s brilliant venues and discover exactly how your favourite pint is made. Things get underway at ten in the morning with a friendly welcome and a cuppa before you roll up your sleeves for the first stage of the process, known as mashing in. Here you’ll mix milled grains with hot water in the mash tun while your brewer explains what’s going on behind the scenes. Once the mash is underway, you’ll pause for a well-earned bacon butty and a guided beer tasting as you learn about different styles and flavours brewed on site. Next comes the transfer, re-circ and sparging, where you’ll really see the magic happen before breaking for lunch and another beer to keep your energy up. After lunch it’s time for the boil, adding hops and kettle finings to the mixture, with every step carefully explained so you leave with a proper understanding of how beer is crafted from start to finish. By five o’clock you’ll have helped clean down and wrapped up the process, ready to either head home or stay for another well-deserved pint in the bar. As a final treat, you’ll take home a certificate and your own 5L mini-keg of freshly brewed beer – the perfect memento of a day spent learning, tasting and brewing the nation’s favourite drink.

  • The minimum age for this experience is 18 years old.

  • You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in for the Brewery Experience.

  • Each Beer Brewing Experience is run in small groups with the maximum Group size of 10.

    Please note, this experience is not suitable for any spectators, although they may wish to enjoy the pub facilities upon pickup or drop off.

  • The Brewery experience lasts for approximately 7 hours with an 11am start time. There will be a mid-morning snack break, and then a lunch break at approximately 13:30.
