This full-day introduction offers a wonderful insight into the secret life of bees, giving you the chance to learn directly from a professional beekeeper who will guide you through the basics — and share a few insider secrets along the way!

Despite our love of honey, few people truly understand bees, and even fewer have the courage to work alongside them every day. Fully suited up in protective gear, you will learn just how gentle and remarkable these creatures are as your guide explains their importance, behaviour, and incredible work ethic — including the fact that they help pollinate around one-sixth of all the world’s flowers. You will even have the rare opportunity to inspect a real working hive up close and discover how to make your own garden more bee-friendly.

To top off your day, you will head home with a delicious gift pack of Tiger Hall honey — the sweetest ending to a truly memorable experience. This unique beekeeping day is a fantastic gift for nature lovers, honey enthusiasts, or anyone who enjoys trying something completely new.

  • Age restriction - Minimum age 14.

    While it is very unlikely participants will be stung, it would be advisable that anyone with a severe allergy to bee stings does not attend.

  • All beekeeping safety equipment will be provided by the centre. It is advised to wear sensible clothes that are suitable for the weather.

  • The Beekeeping experience at Tiger Hall is available generally three times a year.
