Start your morning checking in on the animals and helping with daily tasks, from feeding playful meerkats to bottle-feeding cheeky kid goats. Really good day out.I went as the nominated adult for my daughter as the day was all for her. She had a great time holding the animals, stroking the hedgehog, feeding the lemurs, so much so that she cant actually name what was the best part of her day. Despite having done similar things before I also had a great time and was really impressed with the breadth and depth of knowledge shown by the keepers.

    • You will be accompanied around the farm by an experienced member of staff

    The Animals
    • Snakes – Meet and learn about the reptiles with the chance to handle and feed one of the friendly snakes
    • Tortoises – Get up close and stroke the gentle tortoises
    • Hedgehog – Discover the spiky charm of the desert hedgehogs
    • Owls – Meet the owls and learn about their unique hunting skills while handling them
    • Foxes – Step into the world of foxes and hand-feed these intelligent and playful animals
    • Lemurs – Spend time with the energetic lemurs, helping with feeding and enrichment activities
    • Servals – Get close to these striking wild cats and learn about their incredible agility
    • Meerkats – Help feed the curious and entertaining meerkats as they scurry about and climb over you

    • Normal admission to the centre applies to non-participants
    • Please be aware that the animals' welfare is of utmost importance.  The animals do nothing against their nature, and all interaction is done on their terms

My daughter and I had a great day at hoo farm as zookeepers for the day, lots of hands on with the wildlife and feeding them. Especially enjoyed the hands on with the babies that was wonderful.

A wonderful 12 day at Hoo Farm meeting a variety of animals with a great keeper who was friendly and knew lots about the animals and their history. Hoo Farm is a lovely animal park that has expanded since I visited last year and has further plans to expand. Many of the animals had had young or are expected to have young soon which is always a very positive sign if animals feel happy to breed. A lovely mix of animals with good viewing access. Well worth a visit.
