Combining spectacular aerial views with the chance to take the controls, this extended lesson is perfect for anyone keen to discover microlight flying. Depending on conditions, your flight could take you over Winchester, towards the coast or above the beautiful North Wessex Downs, with plenty of impressive scenery to enjoy along the way. The microlight school is led by Chief Flying Instructor Ian MacAdam, who has been flying hang gliders and microlights since 1987. You will fly in one of the school's flex-wing microlights, such as the GT450 or semi-enclosed PulsR, offering an exhilarating way to take to the skies. More than just a sightseeing flight, this experience is treated as a genuine introductory lesson following the NPPL(M) syllabus. You will learn how the aircraft and controls work before having the opportunity to take the controls yourself under expert guidance. With 70 minutes in the air, there's plenty of time to admire Hampshire's stunning scenery while getting a hands-on introduction to microlight flying.

What an experience, Ian the pilot was lovely and easy going. He showed a real passion for flying, and was happy to answer any questions. It was amazing to be up amongst the clouds, it almost felt like you could reach out and touch them. Would definitely fly again in the future.
