Not only is it located in a former key RAF and USAF venue ran by skilled staff who have worked at and even been involved in RAF Mildenhall when it was an active base, but gives you a chance to experience one of the most realistic replicas around. This session is run entirely by RAF avionics engineers, who will walk you through a session in a training sim first, so you can get to grips with the controls, that way, when you actually sit in the Spitfire Sim you will be prepared for flight. Once you’re ready, you will take a seat in this Spitfire replica cockpit fully equipped with analog controls and tactical feedback that provides all the sights and sounds of Spitfires that once soared over the skies of Britain. With several flight scenarios to choose from, including a Battle of Britain aerial dogfight, this is one of closest flying sensations you can get to the real thing. Excellent, a very realistic simulator not to be confused with others based on MSFS with flat screens. The USP here is the panoramic environment which gives you 180 degree field of vision, albeit at the expense of some definition. Challenging, but very rewarding.

The simulator was amazing. I took off and landed at Duxford twice. There was a full and thorough briefing. Kenneth was extremely patient and tapered my experience to suit me. I have restricted mobility.The simulator I used was incredible and lifelike.Thanks to Kenneth and Harry for making it a great day.

I was given excellent clear tuition on the basic flying controls on training screens. Once I had understood these the hour spent in the Spitfire simulator seemed to pass exceedingly rapidly, being expertly coached by Kenneth when needed. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a flight.

Superb experience and would thoroughly recommend to anyone who has a love of aviation and the older warplanes.. Kenneth explained all thoroughly and was on hand every step of the experience, he was superb too with his Airforce experience.

What a fantastic experience My instructor, Kenneth, was absolutely brilliant. He taught me take off, manoeuvre and land before we got into the Spitfire sim. The Spitfire was a lot more difficult to fly but I nevertheless enjoyed my take off followed by a trip to London where I buzzed Tower Bridge and the Houses of Parliament and finally a bumpy landing at Margate.Thanks for a totally unique experience.Highly recommended
