Turn your flying dreams into reality with this 60 Minute Flying Lesson across the Essex Coastline in a four-seater Cessna 172. As soon as you arrive at Clacton Airfield, you'll get a sense for the family run vibe of this site as well as the expertise, as lessons have been taking place here since 1988. With a host of experienced pilots at your disposal, it's safe to say you'll be in the best of hands once you take to the skies. Another asset about this Flying Club is the lack of crowded airspace, due to its quiet location the skies are pretty clear from commercial traffic, meaning it's an ideal spot for newbie flyers. Once you've gone through your safety briefing and introductions you won't be far away from climbing into the cockpit. After a quick overview of the aircraft and controls, you'll soon be soaring through the skies in no time. If you're feeling like you need a dose of moral support, because you're in the 4-seater, you do have the option to invite a friend or family member along with you as a passenger. With picturesque coastal views and the perfect location for new flyers, you won't want to miss out on taking a flying lesson from Clacton.

I flew from Clacton for the second time using into the blue but this time was for the full hour which counts towards your licence experience. I had a fabulous time with the same instructor who let me fly over Ipswich and towards Maldon circling back to Clacton. The knowledge and instruction given were first class and I will be going for my full PPL, 1 hour at a time...... 100 recommended from Clacton.

Four Seater Restrictions

- Spectators are welcome to attend and watch participants in flight with plenty of great photo opportunities
- Participants of the four seater experiences are allowed to bring two interested observers (min age 14, one observer must be over 18) who can observe the lesson from the rear seat (at the discretion of the flight instructor and subject to weather conditions)

It was great,seeing the ground from the plane i was flying and being able to take control for a short time was the best bit.The instructor was a great guy and every body on the ground did there bit to.All in all super.

I booked this flying experience for my son as a birthday gift and I am very pleased that I did this. We had to reschedule it first time due to bad weather but were offered another convenient date and time.The pilot was very nice man and my son thoroughly enjoyed it. Very happy.

Excellent experience, over too quickly, something I have always wanted to do. The pilot was friendly and we had a good laugh and she took time to explain what she was doing whilst preparing to take off and land. And gave me time to take some photos from the air. The staff at Clacton where also very helpful looking after my wife whilst I was in the air.

MY WIFE WAS THRILLED WITH THIS EXPERIENCE AND HAD THE CONTROLS FOR THE MAJORITY OF HER TIME IN THE AIR. STAFF ALL VERY POLITE AND FRIENDLY AT CLACTON AIRFIELD. GREAT VIEWS OVER THE SEA FRONT AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

What a great flight we had The pilot was very informative and made us feel at ease. The conditions were perfect so everything ran smoothly in the day. The office kept us updated with flight times and even called to say we could fly early New hobby unlocked
