Spend a full hour in the skies with a 60 minute flying lesson in a four seater Cessna 172 from the peaceful Tibenham Airfield in Norfolk. Perfect for anyone wanting a proper hands on flying experience with a bit more time to enjoy it. You’ll meet pilot instructor Mark or one of his experienced team before heading out to the aircraft. The Cessna 172 has side by side seating and dual controls, so you can watch and learn before taking the controls yourself. The large windows mean you get fantastic all-round views of Norfolk’s countryside as you fly. Tibenham has a fascinating history as a former RAF airfield, but today it’s all about leisurely flying. With open farmland all around and very little controlled airspace, it’s an ideal spot for beginners or anyone looking for a relaxed flying experience. You’ll usually take off from one of the airfield tarmac runways and soon be climbing above the fields. During your lesson, your instructor will teach you the basics, from straight and level flight to gentle turns, and you’ll get plenty of time to practise flying yourself. It’s not just a joyride - you’re in the pilot’s seat and in control, guided every step of the way. A brilliant way to spend an hour learning to fly a classic training aircraft while taking in Norfolk’s stunning skies.
