Vintage aviation enthusiasts in Northumberland are going to be in their absolute element on this 45 minute flying experience in a bonafide, fully restored 1940s Tiger Moth biplane! Based at Eshott Airfield in Morpeth, G-EMSY is owned and operated by best friends Darren and Dave, who are truly passionate about their little vintage plane. It was first built in 1940 and used by trainee WWII pilots at RAF Luffenham. After being decommissioned in 1954, it spent time in Germany, and lay forgotten about in a barn in Belgium for almost four decades, before it was uncovered in 1991, and was gradually restored to full airworthy condition by 2000. With Darren and Dave, you'll be able to talk about what flight path you want to take across the Northumbrian countryside and coast - and with your best view on all the action in the front passenger seat, this is truly a special vintage flying experience you won't forget in a hurry!

    • Light snacks and refreshments can be purchased from the onsite café (open Thursday to Sunday) or pre-book a delicious afternoon tea
    • Friends and family are welcome to watch your take-off and landing from the viewing area
    • The airfield is dog-friendly, but all dogs must be kept on a lead at all times

    • Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult

    • Participants must sign a declaration before flying
