From the moment your lesson begins, there’s plenty to take in. On the ground, you’ll spot jets lined up at the East, West, and Central piers, ready to whisk passengers off to destinations around the globe. Meanwhile, you’ll be taxiing in your light aircraft from the flying club on the airport’s north side, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a busy international hub. Once airborne, the views just get better. As soon as you’re cleared for take-off, it’s time to see Glasgow from a brand-new perspective. Look down and you’ll notice how the Black Cart Water and White Cart Water meet to form a triangle with the airport nestled in between—a natural landmark that pilots use to help guide them in for landing. Beyond that, you might catch sight of the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park stretching into the distance.   • You will receive a safety briefing and the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the aircraft and its controls
  • You will learn how to turn, climb and bank the aircraft
  • Flight times can be added towards a Private Pilot's License

    • A 45 Minute Flying Lesson in a Two-Seater Aircraft
    • Safety briefing and familiarisation with the aircraft and its controls
    • Your flight route will be explained as your instructor completes the final flight checks before takeoff
    • Once airborne, you will be able to handle the controls
    • Learn how to turn, climb and bank the aircraft
    • Flight times quoted are chock to chock
    • Flight time can be counted towards a Private Pilot's License (PPL)
    • Spectators are welcome and can watch you take off and land

Ever flown out of Glasgow on holiday Thats the actual runway they use. Watch and wait while people go to the Algarve then take off and fly to Loch Lomond. What an amazing experience, listening to communication from the ATC make you feel like a real pilot then actually getting to take control of the plane and do maneuvers. The pilot explained everything in cool and collected manner that made me feel relaxed. Cant recommend this enough to players of flight sim or just people whating a wee shot in the air.

Id like to share with you, some random photos of my recent flying lesson with IntoTheBlue.The weather on the evening was perfect for our take off heading west, encountering some turbulence above the Firth of Clyde, this only adding to my hands on experience before turning around over Rothesay Bay, finally handing control back to Pilot Bill where we then experienced a Perfect nighttime approach and landing back at GLW airport.Thanks Bill for all your advice and expertise. Much appreciated.

Amazing experience at Glasgow airport. After take off I got the chance to take controls of the air craft and the pilot Jag was fantastic making me feel comfortable from start to finish. Would love to do it again

Very easy to arrange the flight due to concise info from Into the Blue. The whole experience was excellent, from the friendly , knowledgeable and very helpful pilot, to the aircraft, takeoff and landing was exhilarating and the views sublime. Would recommend to anyone who fancies a up front flying experience.
