Do you dream of flying yourself through the skies? If so, you'll want to start with this fantastic 40 Minute Flying Lesson from Gloucestershire Airport in Staverton. As soon as you arrive here, you'll be part of the hustle and bustle of a major airport which handles over 90,000 movements each year. Formerly known as Staverton, it was once a busy RAF training centre and has carried on teaching generations of budding pilots how to fly. Even though you'll no doubt be eager to get into the skies, your session will begin with a safety briefing and introduction from a qualified instructor who will be joining you in your lesson. Soon enough, it will be time to begin your journey in the skies and you'll be able to look out of the window as your instructor takes care of take-off, and you're treated to views of the beautiful Gloucestershire fields below. But you won't be sitting back and enjoying the view for too long as this is a flying lesson after all! Once ready, your instructor will hand the controls over to you and you'll steer yourself steadily through the skies and fluffy clouds all around. Whether this is your first time, or you are trying to clock up the hours for your licence, this lesson can be tailored towards all abilities. What's guaranteed though is we're pretty certain you'll be hooked on flying after taking a lesson here.

I very much enjoyed the experience and strongly recommend it. My instructor was Dave at Staverton. He explained the aircraft controls and instruments in a clear way prior to departure and then gave me control of the aircraft from almost immediately after take off through to start of approach. Great experience go try it.

The flying experience itself was amazing Alex the instructor at Staverton Airport was great, his whole demeanor put me at ease and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He also took the controls a couple of times to allow me to take pictures and video.Into The Blue are a great company with excellent communications. Due to the pandemic they pushed back the end date on my experience three times so that I wouldnt miss out. I cant praise them enough.

- Passengers are not permitted in flights at this training school
- The nearby Aviator restaurant provides superb views across the airfield with hot and cold food available from 9.00am to 9.00pm every day

Fantastic, I dont even like flying but the instructor was great, reassuring and let me fly for most of the time. Thoroughly enjoyable, great staff and an amazing experience.

30 minute flying lesson. Despite the covid issues, everyone worked hard to arrange a suitable date. On the date, everything was great. Good check in safety briefing and the full time at the controls. Recommended.

What a great way to spend an afternoon. Very friendly people in the flying school. Practically the whole flight was spent flying the plane the pilot did the take off and the landing. An excellent experience which I hope to do again.

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Dave Houghton was a brilliant instructor. He was knowledgeable, articulate and calm throughout. He kindly allowed my wife to join me and ensured the flight included a route and sights which we would be familiar with and enjoy. We now have wonderful memories of the day and felt Dave went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

Absolutely amazing experience. I had the 30 minute trial flight package. Apart from the take off I was flying.. over Gloucester, then Stroud, my home, local places from a new standpoint.Popped up through the clouds into the blue sky and sunshine and back in over Cheltenham to make my first landingAll in 30 minutes Or so.Fantastic pilot, put me fully at ease. Explained the basics really well and encouraged me to fly as much as I wanted.The smile lasted for ages.
