Get introduced to the world of flying with a 40 Minute Trial lesson in a 2-seater plane from Turweston Aerodrome in Northamptonshire. If you're keen to explore the world of aviation and start your flying journey but don't know where to start - you don't need to look further than here. Extra care is taken during these flights to strip flying back to the basics, as you learn about how to control the aircraft you are flying in (probably a Piper Cherokee) and have an extensive pre-flight safety briefing before heading out to the skies. Not only is this airfield well located between Milton Keynes and Banbury, but well equipped for each new flyer as it is a fully accredited training organisation (ATO) and has a host of enthusiastic instructors on-site to get you feeling safe in the skies. Once you've flown for a little while up in the skies over Northampton, your instructor will hand over the controls to you and before you know it you'll be steering your way through the skies in no time. If you live close to Turweston - you might even be able to arrange the flight path to include aerial views over where you live! Perfect for beginners just starting, you won't want to miss these introductory flights at Brackley.

The guy who took me up in the plane was amazing, I was surprised just how much he let me do. Once hed took off and levelled the plane out he let me take over and he didnt take control again until he took it in to land.

Brilliant experience The instructor was very welcoming after a brief introduction to the aircraft controls using a model to explain what each did we went out to the aircraft. The instructor did the preflight checks we took off amazing At 1500 feet the instructor handed over the controls I was able to fly for the next 50 minutes only handing over control for landing. An incredible 60 minutes and should Iwant to learn to fly this would count towards my hours needed to get a pilots licence.

Booked the hour long flying experience as a present for my 20 year old son. He had a fantastic time, all went easily from time of booking until the end. Would recommend this length of time in the air, being able to take over the controls for longer and appreciate the knowledge of your instructor, without feeling rushed. Would definately book this hour long experience again. Thank you Turweston Airfield.
