Produced between 1947 and 1956, the Chipmunk was the most popular choice of training plane used after the end of WWII, with both the British and Canadian Air Forces using it for many years, with hundreds upon thousands of Air Cadets starting their aviation career in one of these. The particular tandem Chipmunk you'll be flying only exited military flying duties in 1996, so that gives you an idea of just how long it was in service! And this unique vintage flight truly captures the excitement and anticipation those cadets must have felt. Family and friends will be allowed to capture you on camera as you get settled in the cockpit and have taxied back, and you'll be fully kitted out with a headset to communicate with your pilot during the flight, as well as taking in the comms between the aircraft and the control tower.
