Flying has been part of this peaceful corner of Powys since the late 1980s, and today Welshpool Airport features a long tarmac runway, aircraft hangars and a popular on-site café. When you arrive, you will be welcomed by the experienced flight training team and introduced to your instructor. You will then get acquainted with the Cessna Reims 150, a compact two-seater aircraft ideally suited to flight training. With one seat for you and the other for your instructor, there are no additional passenger or observer seats on board. Once you're ready, it's time to take off for your 30-minute lesson. This is a genuine flying lesson rather than simply a sightseeing flight, so under the guidance of your qualified instructor, you will have the exciting opportunity to take the controls and experience what it's really like to pilot a light aircraft.
