After a full briefing you will head out for a full hour in a modern two seater Cabri G2, a helicopter that is widely used for training thanks to its smooth handling and excellent visibility. Once airborne the instructor will talk you through the controls and yes, you will get hands on time flying the helicopter yourself. Helicopters feel completely different to aeroplanes. From the moment you lift into a hover it is a totally new sensation and one that most people never forget. The hour long flight gives you plenty of time to settle in, enjoy the experience and really get a feel for how these machines behave in the air. If you have ever thought about learning to fly properly, the time from this lesson can count towards your logbook should you decide to continue your training. And even if you are just here for the experience, it is an unforgettable way to spend an hour. Leicester Airport also has some nice extras.
