About the experience

Are you ready to experience the thrill of white water rafting? Look no further than the popular centre on the River Nene in Northampton! As the UK's first artificial, pumped whitewater course, this renowned venue is the perfect place to embark on your adventure. With three enormous pumps upstream on the River Nene controlling the flow of water down the 300m white water section, beginners can learn the basics in placid conditions and progress as their skills and experience improve. Your two-hour experience begins with a comprehensive safety and rafting technique briefing onshore, followed by a short session on flat water to practice paddling and manoeuvring your six-seater raft. Then, you'll set off to complete up to five or six thrilling circuits of the raft run. Spectators can easily watch the fun from around the dug-out water channel. The friendly team in Northampton provides you with wetsuits, windproof jackets, flotation aids, and safety helmets, so all you need to bring is a swim costume and a sense of adventure. Fully trained and experienced rafting guides will ensure you receive the necessary instruction to maximize your enjoyment of the day.
