If you are seeking your next thrill this White water rafting adventure in Nottingham is just the thing for you! Take a trip down some of the most technical and exciting rapids during your 1hr 45 mins on the water. On arrival you will be welcomed with a safety briefing and get kitted up ready to hit the rapids. Remember to bring your swimming costume for wearing under your wetsuit because you will definitely be getting wet! Your experienced instructor will guide you through the course at the National Watersports Centre but you will still have to hang on so you don't end up out of the raft. - Full safety briefing and training session
- All equipment is provided, including paddles, buoyancy aids, helmets, splash jackets, and, of course, the raft!
- Wet suits are also available (£10 deposit required on the day)
- Rafts take a maximum of 6 people plus the guide

Information
- Rafters need to be between 14 and 65 years old
- Maximum Weight is 18 stone (114 kg)
- Maximum chest size should be less than 48 inches
- Participants must be able to swim in light clothing and be confident in open water.
- This activity is not suitable for pregnant women.
- Under 18's will need to provide a parental/guardian consent form, which will be provided before the activity.
- Sessions run between 10 am and 6 pm between March and October, 10 am-3.30 pm from November to February
Individual Rafting:
- Experiences operate on Saturdays and Sundays
- You will form part of a group of up to 5 other rafters
Location:
- The National Watersports Centre, West Bridgford
- Five miles East of Nottingham, located in 270 acres of national park
- Easy access from junction 24 or 25 of the M1
Minimum Age: 14 years
Maximum Age: 65 years
- You will need to wear a swimming costume to go under the wet suit
- Friends and family are welcome to the beautiful water park surroundings
- Suitable lace-up trainers should be worn so that you don't mind getting wet
- No Jeans, shorts or T-shirts are allowed
- Participants should arrive 30 minutes before your slot time
- On rare occasions, the course may be closed if the water levels are too high
- Facilities on-site - lots of car parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, cafés serving snacks, drinks and hot meals and a children's playground area
- An excellent view over the main rapids from the bank that runs alongside the entire rapids course
- Accommodation can be provided on site with rooms from as little as £39, there are also a number of hotels and B and Bs nearby.

Friends bought me this experience for my 60th birthday. It was fun but I found it a bit scary, my husband enjoyed it though. You need to be pretty fit for the whole experience which luckily we are. I was so determined not to fall overboard that I got my foot stuck fast in the raft which could have been a problem had we overturned. Worst case scenario! I'm glad I've done it though.

I bought my then boyfriend (now husband) and I vouchers to go white water rafting in Nottingham for his birthday which was great. The experience lasted several hours and it was great fun watching my husband rescue others from the water when they fell in (don't worry, no danger it was more funny than anything else). He even voluntarily dived in to ride the rapids on the last run. He rated it as one of the best things he has ever done.
