About the experience

Calling all thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies for this White Water Rafting Session on the River Tay in Perthshire. When you arrive you will be given all your equipment and welcomed with a safety briefing before spending getting on the water in your 3 hour session. Your experience will guide your group along the River Tay, through the Perthshire countryside. You will learn the skills you need to stay afloat and if you do fall in, the instructors will help you get back on board. It's a great experience for those who love trying something that gets the adrenaline pumping. Remember your swimming costume because you will definitely be getting wet!

Information

  • Half Day
  • A rafting experience lasting around 3 hours
  • You will receive a full safety briefing and all the training you'll need
  • All equipment is provided including wet suits, buoyancy aid, helmet and splash jacket
  • Rafts can hold up to 10 participants
  • Fully qualified instructors will provide a safety briefing
  • The operator will be able to advise on a wide range of excellent accommodation options in the area

Minimum Age: 8 years

  • Half days on the River Tay run throughout the year, weekdays and weekends
  • Start times are approximately 09:30 and 13:00 depending on water levels and time of year

  • Participants do not have to be able to swim but need to be confident in moving water
  • For all activities you will need a t-shirt and swimsuit to wear under your wetsuit and shoes that you don't mind getting wet and remember to take a couple of towels
  • All participants must be aware that White Water Rafting as well other outdoor activities carries a degree of risk
  • Even though the operator has tried to minimise these risks, there is still a chance that participants may fall into cold, turbulent water that is fast flowing
  • Participants will only be accepted on the understanding that they are aware of these risks and wish to participate of their own free will
