About the experience
The Cotswold Archery School's slogan is "Finding the Archer from Within," and what better place to achieve this than in the picturesque setting of the Batsford Arboretum grounds in Moreton in Marsh? This Gloucestershire location is ideal since it has everything you need for a fun session learning the basics of archery and offers lots of opportunities for practise! Neil and Jenny, who oversee the archery instruction, take great satisfaction in their ability to instruct aspiring archers utilising a tried-and-true teaching strategy in a professional, educational, and personable manner. These Gloucestershire experiences go beyond the typical taster course since they run for 90 minutes. You will spend the first half of your session studying the Olympic sport and practising your posture and shooting technique - and the second half shooting multiple different types of bow. You and a partner of your choosing will be hard-pressed to find a more thorough archery experience in the UK!
- 90 minute archery session in the Cotswolds
- Located in the lovely Batsford Arboretum
- Learning to shoot with the recurve bow
- Basic shooting style of bare-bow shooting
- 90-minute archery experience, maximum of two archers per target
- Full range safety briefing and demonstration of shooting the bow by your archery instructor
- The first hour will be spent on the wooden three-piece training bow
- You will then have the opportunity to shoot six arrows each, on the metal Olympic recurve bow and the Syrian horse bow, at the targets set at 18 metres
- You may form part of a group of up to a maximum of 12 other participants
- All archery equipment is provided

- Minimum age 8
- Under 18s must be accompanied on site by an adult
- Suitable for all levels of ability and experience
- Allocated seating available for booked archers and one spectator per booking
- Other spectators welcome, but may not be seated
- Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome
- Site has a sheltered shooting line and waiting area
Minimum Age: 8 years
- Experiences available 7 days a week
- Start time is generally 10.30am
- Available January to December
- All experiences are subject to weather conditions
- If cancelled they can be rebooked within the vouchers expiry date
- Exclusive use of the archery range for groups can be arranged
