Blacksmith Experience Day:
- A great experience for novices to try your hand art, one of the oldest trades
- Spend the day at the anvil working with hot steel, sparks and fire
- Learn the basics and produce a range of items such as hooks, keyrings, letter openers and fire pokers
- Bring a sketch along if you have a specific item you'd like to make
- Take home your hand-forged items
Information
- Minimum age 16
- Under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult
- A good, general level of fitness is required
- You will form part of a small group of 6 people for this experience (8 for axe making)
- Selected Saturdays throughout the year
- Courses start at 09:00 finishing around 17:30/18:00
- Dates are subject to availability, depending on your chosen course
Location:
- Trevaughan, Carmarthen
- Courses are run in a dedicated professional forge
Minimum Age: 16 years
- Comfortable clothing should be worn (no nylon or synthetics) - Jeans and T-Shirts are ideal.
- Safety boots or walking boots are suitable (no open-toed footwear)
- Not suitable for spectators
