About the experience
Stained glass painting is a beautiful craft and you can learn the skills with this Stained Glass Painting workshop. The Workshop is run by Jamal Rafay, a stained glass artist and owner of Stained Glassic, that runs the sessions out of his workshop in Birmingham. You will learn the essential and cover your introduction to stained glass painting, design, introduction to the medium, materials, drawing and painting. You will be provided with glass pieces about 7-8 inches to make your painted panel. Your session will last around 6 hours, staring at 9am and finishing around 3pm. Once you have made your stained glass panel, it will be put into the kiln, this is a slow process so you can arrange to pick it up at a later date or have your panel delivered to you. Once you have it home, you can hang it up for the sun to let the beautiful design shine.

- During the day you will cover: Introduction, design for stained glass, introduction to medium, materials, drawing and painting

- Your glass piece will be kiln fired at the end of the session for a later collection
- All equipment is provided including aprons and gloves
- Break and lunch (please bring a packed lunch)
- Tea and coffee are provided
- You will be part of a small group of up to 3 participants for this experience
- Under 18's must be accompanied by a participating adult
- The process if kiln firing takes some hours, so the finished piece can either be collected in a later day or delivery can be arranged at a cost, payable direct
- Participants can take their unfired piece home one the dame day if preferred
