About the experience

Prepare to be strapped in for the most high octane skydiving experience, up in the sky 10,000 ft over the beautiful Salisbury Plains in Wiltshire. The tandem skydiving based specialists who run these experiences are different, in so far as the equipment they use for training prior to heading into the sky is unlike anything anywhere else in the UK. As opposed to leaning over a box to learn the free fall, exit and landing positions, they suspend you into a harness that more closely simulates what happens once you’re in the plane ready to jump out. Of course, nothing compares to the actual feel, but in terms of preparing you for what’s to come it’s the best there is. Once your preparation and training is complete, you and your friendly, easy going team of expert skydiving instructors will then board the plane and take off into the sky - which is where the adrenaline really kicks in! Once you reach the perfect altitude of 10,000 ft (approximately 15 minutes into the flight), the door goes back and the only way really is down, as you leave the plane and the sound of the roaring engine is replaced by the rush of the wind. Skydiving over the Salisbury Plains is truly one of the best experiences there is - as you take in the sights for miles around including Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, and of course the natural beauty of the Plains themselves. Once at 5000 ft, the instructor will then deploy the canopy, at which point, your descent back down gets more graceful and gradual. And once you’re back on the ground, with your friends and family cheering you on from the sidelines, you’ll experience a buzz you’ll have never felt but that’ll make you want to relive it all over again!
