About the experience

This exclusive Music Production Workshop for Two will see you and the fellow music boff in your life learn acoustic and digital music production techniques under the guidance and experience of DJ Jake at his state-of-the-art workshop 'After Dark Studio' just outside Birmingham. So if you’ve ever wanted to see how the magic happens behind the scenes with hitmakers like Dallas Austin, Rick Rubin, Timbaland, Max Martin or RedOne, now's your chance. The studio here is equipped with a live stream/rehearsal room, recording studio and production room - all sound proofed as spec, and it’s the latter room where all the magic happens as you bring vocals and instruments together to make stunning audio. The studio, as you can see from the pictures above, is quite spectacular to take in; the multiple screens, desks, faders and other gadgetry that makes it all come together from the producer’s seat - which is where you’ll be learning from. Your session will be hands-on throughout as you lay down the track and learn about mastering and editing - all to produce that three and a half minute track ready to be played on the radio. And best of all, you’ll get to download and keep a copy of your completed track to share with loved ones. And it doesn’t matter either of your level of expertise, as beginners are well accounted for here too!
