About the experience
This is afternoon tea with a difference, as you and a loved one, friend or family member will get to enjoy gin cocktails and a traditional teatime spread whilst on a tour of either Edinburgh or Glasgow riding on board a fully restored vintage double decker Routemaster bus! Not only are the buses still in their traditional red Routemaster livery, the interiors have now been fitted out as moving tea rooms. Of course, the slate and tartan that adorns the tables leaves you in no doubt as to where these buses are from! And over the course of your 90 minute trip, taking in the sights of one of Scotland's foremost cities, you'll be sampling from the gin pot-tails - gin cocktails served in a glass teapot - along with a variety of sweet and savoury teatime treats! The cocktails are an inspired combination of liqueurs and fresh herbs that are intricately decorated with edible flowers. And whether it's gin with bitter lemon, raspberry liqueur with a dash of Prosecco, you'll find they're a perfect accompaniment to your scones, cakes and sandwiches. If you're not a gin lover, that's OK, as you can ask for an alternative spirit to substitute it in advance, as well as any dietary requirements. And whilst the buses are sadly not wheelchair accessible, there are also seats on the lower deck as well as the top deck - ideal if you have trouble climbing stairs. All in all, this is one bus tour around an iconic Scottish city and enjoy an afternoon tea unlike any you'll have had before!

- Minimum age for Gin is 18
- Children under six are not permitted to ride on the bus due to health and safety regulations
- Due to the design of the bus, wheelchairs are not permitted
- Seating can be reserved downstairs for those unable to manage the stairs
- Tables for 4 people will be shared but a supplement of £10 for each seat not occupied can be paid (for two people a supplement of £20 to paid directly when booking experience)
- Spectators are welcome to watch your departure
