About the experience
Somerset river kayaking offers beautiful landscapes and tranquil paddling. In order to paddle the calm waters of the River Brue and take in all the views and sounds, we are organising half-day and full-day tandem kayak experiences. These kayak excursions depart at Wall Eden Farm, which is close to Highbridge. This outdoor adventure centre is located in the middle of the Somerset Levels and is easily accessible from the M5 just south of the Mendip Hills.

- Lots of history and wildlife to discover on your way
- Explore the Somerset countryside by a tandem kayak for the two of you
- All equipment is provided including kayak, paddles, buoyancy aid and dry bag out
- Short health and safety briefing
- Kayak along the River Brue towards Glastonbury, through miles of beautiful countryside
- You may see kingfishers, herons, otters and other wildlife along the way
- Travel at your own pace and can turn round and head back to the centre when you wish
Information
- Minimum age 4
- Under 18s must be accompanied by at least one adult. Maximum of three under 18s with one adult at any time. If there are two or more under 12s they must be accompanied by two over 18s at all times
- A good general level of fitness is required
- Participants must be able to swim and should be confident in the water
- Buoyancy aids provided and must be worn at all times
- Not suitable if you are pregnant or have a history of epilepsy
- Spectators are welcome to watch your departure
Minimum Age: 4 years
- Weekdays and weekends between April and September
Full Day Session
- 09:00-16:30
- Waterproof clothing, depending on the weather
- A spare change of clothes
- Food and water, drinks can be purchased from the onsite shop if required
- Footwear you don't mind getting wet and/or muddy
- Cap/hat to protect you from the sun and sun lotion
