About the experience

God bless Hooky Street, viva Hooky Street! Fans of the classic BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses will jump at the chance to go on their very own Jolly Boys Outing, exploring the filming locations used in the series over this three hour bus and walking tour. But it may surprise you to learn that this tour actually takes place not in the show’s setting of Nelson Mandela House, Peckham, but instead in Bristol! It was used as the filming location for the show from its sixth series onwards. Created by John Sullivan, and first aired in 1981, there’s a reason why the Trotter brothers - flashy market stall trader Del Boy and his younger sibling Rodney (or Dave, depending on if you’re talking to Trigger) have remained so high in the affections of comedy lovers. The 1996 Christmas special, “Time On Our Hands”, where they finally became millionaires, still to this day holds the record as being the most watched episode of a sitcom ever in UK television history. Over the duration of the tour, you’ll get to visit all of the key locations from the show - the tower block used as Nelson Mandela House, The Nags Head pub, Boycie’s car dealership, Sid’s cafe, and of course, three separate locations in both Bristol and Bedminster, that were used for the hilarious scenes from the episode “Heroes and Villains”, where Del Boy and Rodney, after breaking down in their Robin Reliant van, legged it through the streets dressed as Batman and Robin! Your tour guide is an Only Fools and Horses superfan, so will have plenty of cushty anecdotes and quips, and facts behind the filming to tell you over the duration of this tour that’s most definitely “Lovely jubbly!”
