About the experience
Get up in the air with the nationwide Gliding Experience, choose from one of the many gliding clubs across the country to do your experience at. All clubs are BGA approved with experienced and knowledgeable instructors. When you arrive at your chosen gliding club you will be welcomed with a briefing and introduction to the glider and how it works. You will see amazing bird's eye views of the countryside down below. You may even get the option to take hold of the controls of the glider while in the air. The experience is suitable for those new to gliding as well as those that have been before. You will learn loads with your session while also having a great time.

- 2000ft aerotow with around 20 minutes flight time
- Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays between April and November - Kent Ashford - Squids Gate, Challock
- 2000ft aerotow with around 20 minutes flight time
- Flights are usually available on Fridays from April to September - Leicestershire Lutterworth - Husbands Bosworth Airfield
- 30 minute flight in a motorglider
- 7 days a week between May and October - Peterborough Crowland - Crowland Airfield
- 2000ft aerotow with around 20 minutes flight time
- Weekends throughout the year - North Yorkshire Selby - The Airfield
- 2000ft aerotow with around 15 minutes flight time
- Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays - Warwickshire Bidford on Avon - Bidford Airport
- 2000ft aerotow with around 15-20 minutes flight time
- Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year
- The individual requirements of each glider club vary
- General guidelines are maximum height 6ft 2ins, minimum weight 7 stone, a maximum weight of between 15 and 16.2 stone depending on the type of aircraft in use
