About the experience

If you’ve ever found yourself staring out of the window on a windy day, wondering how to make the most of it despite the unpredictable weather, then a land yachting experience may well be just for you. The truth is, you can’t get very far in Land Yachting without the wind, so if you decide to try it, you’ll soon be feeling thankful for the blustery gales. If you’ve never heard of Land sailing before, essentially, it’s an adrenaline filled activity where you use the wind and sails to control your direction of movement across land. In this experience, you’ll be breezing across the hills of New Romney in Kent, after learning how to control the vehicle with an expert instructor on hand. Land yachts are not only fun and quirky vehicles, but a bit of a challenge to get used to as they have no brakes. Part of the skill in mastering them is learning how to control the speed so you can naturally come to a stop. This will be one of the first skills you learn in this course, as you eventually progress up to doing figures of eights and maybe even more challenging circuits. If you want to try something new and embrace the chance to get out in nature when the gusty winds are showing no signs of slowing, this is the experience for you. By the end of it, you’ll be looking forward to those windy days, rather than dreading them spent cooped up inside. With all safety equipment provided at no extra cost, this is the ideal activity to try if you’re sticking to a tight budget or simply want to explore something new.
