About the experience
Enjoy the stunning Yorkshire countryside as you cast your line on your Lake and River Fishing Day Experience for 2 run by the Northern Fishing School Guide on the Swinton Estate. Your day will be split giving you the opportunity to fish on both the River Ure and the Swinton Estates still water lake where you will be fishing for salmon or trout. Your 1 to 1 session will be guided by a qualified angling instructor who will help you perfect your technique and hopefully get a few bites. You will receive transport from the meeting point to the river so you don't get lost within their 20,000 acre estate. All the equipment is included but you have to get your fishing licence before your session. So head out into the great countryside to see who the better fisherman is.
- A full day of learning to fly fish
- Fish the training lake in the morning
- Fish the River Ure in the afternoon
- All the gear and teaching is included
- Full day lake and river fishing experience
- Spend half a day on the home lake at the Swinton Estate and half a day on the River Ure
- 1:1 tuition from an expert Northern Fishing School Guide
- Fish on the River Ure (salmon and trout) and Swinton's still water (trout) depending on the time of year
- Fishing Equipment and your fishery ticket is included
- Transport to the river is provided
- Sessions last approximately eight hours
- A picnic lunch in included

- A deposit amount of your fishery ticket will be charges if dates are postponed
- Lake and river trout fishing £25 per person. Salmon fishing £25 per person April-August and £45 in September and October
- Please note once you have booked your date if you cancel the reservation for any reason 25% of the voucher value will be retained by the Fishing Schools
- Spectators are welcome
Information
- Selected weekdays and weekends
- The lake at Swinton Estate (trout) is open all year round
- River Fishing: The trout and salmon season is 1st April - 31st October (march for Grayling)
- There is no upper or lower age limit. As long as someone deems themselves, or their child, to be capable then the school are happy to teach them
- Under 16's must be accompanied by a participating adult
