About the experience
Do you know a mini master angler? This is the perfect experience for them as they can spend half a day out in the countryside on a Kids Fishing Experience. They will learn about casting their line and fish welfare at The Swinton Park Estate’s own lake. The estate stretches over 20,000 acres of land in North Yorkshire and provides high quality experiences run by experienced instructors. The session runs for about 4 hours which will be plenty of time to get to grips with the techniques and catch some of the trout in the lake. The experience provides all the equipment so all you need to bring is enthusiasm and the willingness to give it a go!
- Fishing lessons for kids up to to 16 years
- Take place at the Swinton Park Estate
- Learn to cast off on training lake
- Four hour session for up to 6 kids
- Half day junior fishing experience
- Expert tuition from your Northern Fishing School casting guides
- Learn about safety, casting and fish welfare
- Fish for trout on the home lake next to The Swinton Hotel
- Fishing equipment and your fishery ticket is included
- A fishing licence is required for this experience. Please ensure you have a fishing licence before your date
- Sessions last four hours
- You will form part of a small group of 6 participants for this experience with two fishing guides.

- Maximum age 16
- There is no minimum age. However, the parent must determine if their child is capable and willing to participate in this experience.
- Parents are welcome to spectate
- Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year
- The lake at Swinton Estate (Trout) is open all year round
- Sessions start at 10:00 finishing at 14:00

- A deposit of your fishery ticket will be charged if dates are postponed (Lake fishing £25 per person)
- Please note once you have booked your date if you cancel the reservation for any reason, 25% of the voucher value will be retained by the Fishing School
