Introduction to Fly Fishing in the Lake District
About the experience
Stroll along the beautiful River Eden before setting up your fly and catching freshwater fish in this introductory two hour session with expert fly fisher, Stuart Wardle. The Eden Valley waters are laden with a range of fish from wild grayling and trout so you’ll likely have a fruitful experience. If you feel like it, you can even wade into the river alongside the fish with the waders available to hire. You can really tailor this experience to your efforts and needs, as all the coaching is bespoke to you. Whether you've fished before, or have never even tried it, this experience is suited towards all abilities. Aside from being a great spot to catch fish, it will be hard not to be blown away by the surrounding Lake District landscape. Listen to the gentle trickle of the River Eden and watch the fish swimming beneath you as you take in the glorious landscape that is home to one of the most spectacular national parks in England. After your session has come to a close you’ll probably have worked up an appetite, luckily Stuart isn’t only an expert in fly fishing but recommending all the best local spots to eat so you’ll be welcome to pick his brains. All equipment and training is included in this experience, which makes it ideal for anyone who is interested in being introduced to fly fishing.

- All fishing equipment and permits are included (waders can be rented if required)
Information

- Under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult
- If waders are required these can be hired for an additional charge of £20 payable on the day
- Weekdays and weekends throughout the year
- All dates and timings are subject to availability and weather conditions
- Due to the nature of this experience it is not suitable for spectators
