Sealing your love and commitment to one another with rings is taken to the next level on this workshop experience, where you will get to make a stunning pair of hand forged rings. This most romantic of craft experience days will see you working in collaboration with an expert blacksmith as you fashion and forge a ring for each other. Regardless of the occasion - a special anniversary, engagement, wedding, or even a unique Christmas or birthday gift, creating a ring on this workshop means symbolising and forever immortalising the special bond between you both, which is sure to be treasured forever and always. Hosted at a family run forge in the beautiful countryside at the border where England meets Wales in Herefordshire, the forge’s motto is “No one leaves without producing a beautiful piece”. This is such a wonderful summation of what a truly special day this is. It commences with the blacksmith sitting down with you both to discuss what sort of design you would like to go for. Once this is agreed upon, you’ll then head to the forge to begin working the metal to create your rings. This hands-on experience uses all the traditional forging techniques, using centuries-old tools and methods that are now considered heritage crafts - so it’s helping to keep these alive as well as creating something for both your futures. Is there anything more moving and significant than creating and making rings for each other? The workshop lasts for approximately four hours, with a lunch break - and most guests usually opt to have the special blacksmiths’ picnic lunch for an additional fee.
