About the experience
Learn the ropes on this Half Day Rock Climbing Course in the Peak District. Within your half day of climbing you will learn the essential skills of climbing such as belaying, rope safety, how to read climbing guidebooks and climbing techniques. This course is perfect for beginners as you will be able to practise your skills over the half day and before you know it you will be at the top of the rock! All the equipment is included and your instructors will help you understand how to use it safely. The courses take place outside in the stunning Peak District, so once you're climbing high you can appreciate the fantastic views.

- Understand what equipment is necessary and how to use it correctly

- Safely fit a harness and tie into a rope

- Understand climbing guide books and grading systems
- Please note: this is a non-residential course, so accommodation is not provided but can be recommended when booking your date
Suitable outdoor clothing that will keep you warm and dry should be worn - Decent trainers or walking boots should also be worn for the walking parts of the day
- A packed lunch is required
Minimum Age: 14 years
- Half day sessions generally operate Sundays from 09.30 until 12:30
- A course ideal for those with little or no knowledge on climbing
- Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult
- Participants must be of a good level of fitness
