Birds Of Prey Half Day Experience For One - Gloucestershire
About the experience
Immerse yourself in the captivating world of birds of prey with an exclusive half-day or full-day course in Gloucestershire led by expert falconer Ben Long. Discover the deep-rooted passion of Ben, a leading authority in falconry since the early 1970s. Just a five-minute drive from J12 of the M5, the course unfolds on a sprawling estate near Hardwicke, nestled in the picturesque Gloucestershire countryside. Here, Ben will personally guide you through the mesmerising world of these majestic birds tethered to their perches outdoors, sharing intriguing insights into each species’ history and background. The half-day course invites you to handle and fly these domestically bred yet inherently wild birds of prey, including the rare opportunity to interact with the world's fastest creature, the Peregrine Falcon. Gain first hand experience in the care and handling of these magnificent birds, and assist in flying them from swinging lures and lures suspended hundreds of feet in the air, tethered to kites or balloons. It's worth noting that Ben's collection is not accessible to the general public, making these small and intimate group experiences the ultimate way to intimately engage with various types of raptors, all under the expert guidance of a true falconry connoisseur.
