Are you ready to embark on a thrilling underground adventure? Look no further than caving in the Brecon Beacons! Led by expert instructors, these half-day and full-day caving experiences will take you on a journey through a labyrinth of chambers, coves and pools, showcasing Mother Nature at her finest. You don't need any fancy gadgets to enjoy this true adventure sport - just a wetsuit, helmet and head torch. However, it's crucial to go with experienced and qualified guides who will ensure your safety and guide you through the cave system every step of the way. Once you reach Porth-yr-Ogof, you'll discover a warren of underground passageways in an idyllic location. With one of the main entrances being 15m wide and nearly 5m high, access is super easy. Inside, you'll witness breathtaking colours and textures of naturally occurring features, from the shiny grey of the stone to the dark blue of the cold water pools. Your guides will lead you along passages and creeks, tackling natural obstacles and features as you go. Brace yourself for the ‘washing machine', marvel at the incredible underground caverns and alcoves, and be prepared to crawl on your hands and knees at some point! Caving in the Brecon Beacons is not for the faint-hearted, but it's perfect for those seeking an adrenaline rush. Your guides will ensure that you are well taken care of and encouraged as you explore the Porth-yr-Ogof caves.

- Generally caving adventures take place in the popular Porth-yr-Ogof cave system
- Allow 2-3 hours for half day adventures and 4-5 hours for full days
Information
- Minimum age 8
- Under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult
- A good general level of physical fitness is required
- Caving does involve manoeuvring through some small spaces and can be strenuous
- Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year
- Half Day sessions generally run from 10:00-13:30 or 13:15-15:45
- Full days start at 10:00 finishing at 16:00
Minimum Age: 8 years
- A fee for parking is payable to the park warden or machine (currently £4)
- Participants should bring swimwear, towel, change of clothes, wellington boots
- Sessions require a minimum of 4 participants to run, in the unlikely event minimum number are not reached your date may be rescheduled
- Not suitable for spectators
