From majestic Peregrine Falcons to other wild-at-heart birds of pray, you'll have the unique opportunity to handle and fly these domestically bred creatures. Under Bens guidance, you'll not only learn about the birds' backgrounds but also gain insight into the intricate care involved in looking after these magnificent creatures. Picture yourself assisting in the exhilarating experience of launching birds from swinging lures and even ones suspended high above, hundreds of feet into the air.   • Full Day Experience
  • All sessions are usually run in small groups of 4-5 participants
  • Learn about the history of falconry and fly a selection of hawks and falcons
  • The centre is not open to the public so your experience is exclusive
  • Receive a certificate and as a memento of your day
  • Refreshments are included

Half Day Experience

  • Experience the thrill of flying hawks and time permitting also an owl to the glove
  • Take part in the training of the falcons, often including a Peregrine
  • Experiences last approximately 3 hours

Full Day Experience

  • In addition to the half day activities you will also receive additional time flying the birds
  • An introduction to the history of the sport and the different species of birds
  • Learn about the basic feeding, training and management of Birds of Prey
  • Lunch break (lunch is not included so please either bring a packed lunch or visit one of the local pubs)
  • Experience last approximately six hours

Information

  • Under 16s must always be accompanied by an adult

  • Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year
  • 10:00-16:00
  • Dates are subject to availability and weather conditions

  • Spectators are more then welcome to attend for a small fee payable on the day
  • Toilets available on site as well as a classroom displaying falconry items of interest, educational dvds, tea and coffee, and a lunch area
