About the experience
Discover the thrill of flying a microlight over the stunning views of Cambridge and the Fens! We are offering the ‘Flying Start' landaway experience, where we provide all the necessary safety gear, including a helmet, flying suit, and gloves, to ensure your comfort and safety. You will start your adventure with a briefing and a tour of the microlight and its controls. Your pilot will take you to the skies in a top-class, flex-wing aircraft, the P and M GT450 microlight. Once you're comfortably seated in the open cockpit with your harnesses secured, you'll feel the excitement build as the engine roars to life, and you taxi towards the runway. As you soar to cruising altitude, you'll be treated to stunning views of Cambridge and the Fens. But this isn't just about the breathtaking views; you'll also get a chance to take control of the aircraft. With guidance from your pilot, you'll handle the controls and experience the thrill of piloting a microlight. You'll discover how the lightest touch can alter your flight course, and you'll feel the rush of adrenaline as you guide the aircraft through the skies. Sutton Meadows Airfield is situated in the heart of the Cambridgeshire fenland and boasts three grass runways, eliminating the problems of crosswinds. You'll have the option of choosing your takeoff and landing directions, making this experience perfect for these lightweight flying machines. Flying Start
- Welcome and full safety briefing
- A cross-country flight to another airfield where you will have a break
- Take the pilots seat for the flight home
- You will get around 2 hours flying time
- This experiences lasts around 3-4 hours

- Spectators are welcome
- Cameras are permitted whilst airborne, as long as it is fitted with a good quality safety strap
- The minimum age is 14
- Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult

- All safety equipment including helmets and flying suits are provided
