Experience the thrill of gliding over the picturesque landscape of North Wales at Lleweni Parc airfield near Denbigh. Our air experiences are designed to immerse you in the waves, ridges, and thermals of this unique Welsh setting, where mountains, coastlines, and castles await. Choose from a 30-minute lesson, a tour showcasing the castles and coast, or an aerial spectacular soaring over Snowdonia. Operated by a motor glider, you'll enjoy immediate launch without waiting for a tow or winch. Once airborne, the motor turns off, and you'll glide over this stunning corner of North Wales. From lush greenery to majestic mountains, this airfield offers direct access to the wonders of Snowdonia National Park. For the ultimate adventure, opt for the extended Mountain Experience, allowing you to soar over the summit and then head west to the coast, passing by Barmouth and Aberdovey before continuing inland toward Dolgellau and Cadar Idris. Our club exists to showcase the unique conditions for glider flying, including ridge runs, the Snowdonia wave, and incredible thermals. Our passionate pilots are eager for you to experience the magic of gliding in such extraordinary conditions, all against the backdrop of a breathtaking landscape, offering great value for a Denbigh air experience.

A wonderful experience on a perfect day with a clear blue sky. A really friendly and informative greeting followed by an amazing flight. My wife, who was watching the take off and landing, was made very comfortable while I was in the air and offered a drink. She also heard the radio communications.

This was a birthday present which had been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic several times. C-19 restrictions notwithstanding, this was excellent fun, due mainly to the pilot and the weather - this was the "flying lesson" experience - you'll need both hands free! Some of the facilities on the ground were mid-construction (they're building a flight simulator) but this didn't detract too much as we were the only ones there on the day. Be prepared to sign away your life of course, but one of the benefits in doing so is that you become a member of the flying club for 30 days, and so if you're in the area you can go up again at considerably less cost than the experience day. If you've got a go-pro or similar and a chest or head mount this is an excellent opportunity for some aerial photos but unfortunately the review system was unable to upload a photo when I wrote this review :(

This was without doubt one of the best experiences I have ever had. To be able to fly at low level over the mountains I have climbed so many times was unforgettable. My pilot was excellent and gave me the controls for part of the fight. I never thought I would be able to add "fly a plane" to the list of things I have done. I would thoroughly recommend this experience.
