Looking for a great place to learn how to kayak? Look no further than Lee Valley! Whether you're a beginner or more experienced, we've got you covered. Lee Valley is an amazing place to enjoy water sports. Their 'Explore Kayaking' sessions are designed for beginners, so you can try kayaking without having to purchase any equipment - everything you need is provided for you. You will be provided with a kayak and a paddle along with the necessary safety gear. The session will begin on land, where you'll receive a safety briefing and instructions on how to get into and launch your kayak, along with basic paddle techniques. After that, you will head out onto the water. You will be kayaking on one of the dedicated lakes at Lee Valley. These freshwater lakes are crystal-clear and perfect for your first time kayaking as they are calm. Once you have been shown how to use your paddle, you will soon get into the rhythm and be able to cut through the water with ease. You'll spend approximately one hour on the water. Afterwards, there is plenty to explore at Lee Valley, making it possible to extend your visit to a full day. So, it is a wonderful opportunity for a kayak lesson at a renowned venue easily accessible from London. Enjoy a fun-filled day on the water with the entire family.

- Minimum age 8
- Under 12s must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult at all times throughout their visit (including doing the activity)
- Participants aged under 16 must have a responsible adult (over the age of 21 unless legal parent/guardian) who remains on-site at Lee Valley White Water Centre for the duration of their activity with one responsible adult to every four children (max)
- Maximum weight 18 stone
- All participants must complete a Flat Water Declaration before the experience. Details will be provided when redeeming your voucher. If you are under 18, a parent can complete it on your behalf
- Valid for use on Saturdays and Sundays with weekdays during national school holidays
- Dates and session times are subject to availability

Minimum Age: 8 years
- Closed-toe shoes must be worn for this experience (No sandals, flip-flops or heeled shoes)
- All participants must wear a minimum of shorts and a t-shirt whilst on the activity.
- Wetsuits and wet boots are not mandatory but are available to hire for £5 per person, payable on the day.
- There are onsite food outlets where food and refreshments can be purchased with great views of the lake.
- On-site kid's play area and the beautiful nearby River Lee Country Park
- Disc Golf Course pay on the day activities are available to enjoy, subject to availability
