About the experience
Grab a group of friends and go White Water Rafting down the River Derwent in the Peak District. Paddle around 4.5 miles along the river from Darley Dale down to Matlock Bath. Your wild ride down the river will be led by a BCU or IRF qualified raft guide. The rafting will last around 1 hour and 20 minutes, which will be spent paddling and hanging on so you don't fall out, and if you have time you can take in the beautiful English countryside and quaint villages that sit along the river banks. Your raft can hold 6-8 people depending on the time of year, so it's a perfect activity to have a laugh with some friends or bond with some colleagues. All the kit is provided so all you need to bring is some swimwear, a change of clothes and bags of enthusiasm.

- Allow two hours for this white water rafting experience
- A private raft for up to 8 people (maximum of 6 participants between April and September due to low water levels)
- Welcome and safety briefing by your BCU or IRF raft guide
- Raft between Darley Dale to Matlock Bath with low grade white water
- Rafting time is approximately one hour 20 minutes
- All equipment is provided
- Excellent countryside along the river
- Participants should take a spare pair of trainers that you do not mind getting wet, a towel and sun cream
- Wetsuits can be hired for an additional charge of £3.00 per suit on the day
- Clothing suitable to the weather conditions of the day
Minimum Age: 6 years
Maximum Weight: 139.70 kg
- Rafting on the Derwent runs from 1st November to 31st March to ensure sufficient water levels
- If you are looking for an activity during the summer months Canoeing, Kayaking or tubing are available at this location
- All under 18's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- All participants must be able to swim and feel confident in open water
- Spectators are welcome to watch the departure
