Discover one of the most breathtaking coastal parts of South West England on this fantastic two night seascape photography themed break in Devon! Join professional photographer, Alan Ranger, with your camera, as he helps you to learn how to capture the best of this rugged and dramatic coastline on film! Hartland Quay is based in North Devon, and is shaped by surging tides, rugged rock formations and charming sandy beaches and shorelines. It's safe to say you won't be short of photo opportunities coming here! It's the perfect break for anyone who loves photography and travelling to the best places the UK has to offer.

- B and B or hotel accommodation – single occupancy basis (double occupancy available on request)
- Evening meal reservations booked for you to enjoy a friendly and relaxing evening with the group (food not included unless stated)
- One to one tuition throughout the event
- Optional sunset/sunrise shoots - dependant on conditions and wishes of participants
- Photograph a variety of scenes to learn and practice your skills
- Visit approximately 2-3 locations a day, subject to the wishes of the group, time, weather and other factors
- Travel to and from locations is included
- A detailed itinerary will be provided 5-7 days ahead of workshop that will take into account weather and any other local seasonal factors
- You will form part of a small group of up to 4 participants

- Capture amazing shots of Hartland Quay in North Devon, one of the UK's most dramatic seascape locations
- 2 nights accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis
- Other likely locations include: Bude, Clovelly, Sandymouth, Croyde, Welcombe Bay, Saunton Sands, Coombesgate, Woolacombe, Westward Ho
Information
- Under 16's welcome but must be accompanied by a participating adult
- Workshops are suitable to any level of experience as 1 to 1 tuition is provided throughout
- A good, general level of fitness is required
- Specific dates in 2024/2025 depending on your chosen location
- Due to popularity it is recommended you book well in advance to secure your preferred date
Devon Seascapes
- Friday 6th - 8th December 2024
Minimum Age: 16 years
- An additional nights accommodation can be arranged for an additional charge payable when booking your date (subject to availability)
- There is an option (with a supplementary fee - £50) to travel from and back to Coventry with your tutor, payable when booking your date
Equipment required for the workshop:
- Your camera, fully charged battery and spare batteries if you have them
- Additional memory card(s) in case required
- Remote Release Cable to take shots without touching the camera
- Any lenses are suitable - zooms, wide-angle and macro
- Tripod (essential) One can be hired for £20 payable when booking your date if required
- A polarising filter is useful for removing glare and reflections but not essential
