About the experience
Enjoy a wonderful afternoon tea experience in a serene and peaceful environment, surrounded by the enchanting gardens of a Grade II listed thatched cottage constructed in 1600. This delightful cottage is located in the heart of Truro's countryside in Cornwall and offers vouchers for two people to enjoy either a traditional Cornish afternoon tea or cream tea. Your experience will be made even more luxurious with a glass of bubbly upon arrival. The cottage is situated on a country lane in the village of Ponsanooth, just off the main road that connects Redruth to Falmouth. It is a warm and cosy place with a charming atmosphere and beautiful flowers, plants, trees, and the sound of birds chirping. The Cornish cream tea comes with freshly baked scones served with clotted cream, strawberry jam, and a choice of tea blend. The full afternoon tea includes sweet and savoury treats, as well as traditional finger sandwiches.

- No minimum age but under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult
- If you have any dietary requirements or allergies please make these known at the time of booking
- Access to the upper lawn includes a small set of stairs which are not suitable for wheelchair access
- Wheelchairs can be seated on the lower lawn (if you require this seating please confirm this at the time of booking as tables are limited)
- Vegetarian and vegan options can be catered for, please make this known when making your booking if this is required
- Weekdays and weekends excluding Mondays from 1st March to 30th October
- Dates are subject to availability
- Booking must be made at least 7 days in advance
- Cream Tea: 11:00-13:00, 13:00-15:00 or 15:00-17:00
- Afternoon Tea: 12:00-14:00 or 14:00-16:00
Minimum Age: 2 years
- As the experience takes place in an outdoor tea garden, parasols are provided in the case of rain however if the weather is severe, your booking will be rescheduled to an alternative date.
