These half-day sessions are hosted at a friendly gun club located north of Bedford, which comes equipped with the Shooting Lodge clubhouse and gun shop. During the lesson, you'll receive intensive shooting tuition that is ideal for anyone looking to take up clay pigeon shooting as a hobby. The instructors hosting the lessons are all full Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA) academy coaches with years of experience behind them. As a result, you'll be in good hands and get a real insight into the thrill and exhilaration of shooting. The lessons begin in the classroom, giving you a decent amount of knowledge and know-how before you handle a gun. It's easy to 'have a go' by aiming at a few clays and probably missing most of them, but to hit the targets properly takes time. These clay shooting lessons include the eye dominance test and stance tuition, so you can get that 'pigeon' straight in your sights before firing the shotgun. On each of the clay shooting lessons, you'll have up to 50 pigeons to shoot at. With top-notch training beforehand, you can expect to hit a good few of the targets and start showing signs of being an experienced shot. Minimum Age: 10 years
- No alcohol is allowed before shooting.
- Please wear comfortable clothing, ideally with some shoulder padding
- Sensible footwear is recommended
- The lodge has a comfortable indoor area that provides hot and cold food, a bar, an outdoor patio, toilets, and a well-stocked gun shop.
- Spectators are welcome to come to the lodge, however viewing of the course may be limited
